UKRAINIAN WAVE
The Ukrainian Program on CHIN Radio Ottawa 97.9 FM has been on the air since 2003, when the legendary Irena Bell launched Ukrainian radio broadcasting in Canada’s capital.
After 2023, the program’s format was slightly updated and modernized.
In February 2025, it was rebranded as "Ukrainian Wave" and began broadcasting live Saturday 8-9 AM.
Today, "Ukrainian Wave" features contemporary Ukrainian music, news, weather updates, and community announcements about key events in Ottawa.
Unique interviews with special guests further enrich the program’s diverse content.
